Q: What time do you leave the hotel or park and ride location?
A: The shuttle bus service leaves early enough to get you there to enjoy your pit passes and all the great hospitality of Talladega Superspeedway - for a 1pm Sunday/Cup race we typically leave hotels about 7am and our schedule is set about 30 days prior to the race once the on-track schedule is confirmed.
Q: Exactly where do I board the shuttle?
A: Buses depart select hotel lobbies/front entrances, but don't miss the bus, we depart each hotel one time only. Park and ride location details on pick up points will be sent via email with the schedule about 30 days out.
Q: How do I find my bus?
A: Each bus has a DegaRooms.com shuttle host who will greet you, check your name off the manifest and ensure your trip to and from the track runs smoothly.
Q: When do you leave the track?
A: Your bus departs approximately 30-45 minutes after the checkered flag. If you like to linger for the trophy presentation, or want to hang in the infield we do recommend you drive as we do leave promptly. If there is a Saturday night concert we do NOT stay late enough for concert goers.
You'll board the bus exactly where you left it in the morning. Re-live all the race action with friends (or take a nap). Sit back and relax, and we’ll get you back to the hotel or park and ride stop.
Q: How is the traffic?
A: Since about 100,000 of your fellow fans are coming and going this is the way to travel! We typically have a police escort into the track and a good parking spot close to an entrance. The bus you ride out on is the same you will ride back on.
Q: Where is my shuttle ticket?
A: Purchase your pass online here AFTER you book your hotel with us. Once you purchase you are set! No ticket is required to board - your pass is tied to your name. DegaRooms shuttle hosts will greet you and assist in boarding the busses and coordinating your transportation to/from Talladega.
Q: Can we tailgate?
A: Sure! You may bring your cooler and store it under the bus, and each bus is restroom equipped. Small coolers can fit under your seat, we do ask that everyone drink responsibly :)
Q: Can I get the bus if I’m not booking a hotel through DegaRooms.com?
A: Yes, from park and ride locations. We advise against staying elsewhere and riding from a hotel - parking is not available unless you are a registered hotel guest. By booking your hotel with us you save money on your hotel and get access to this great service!. For every room you book you can purchase up to 4 shuttle tickets.
Q. What does it cost and do I pay now?
A. Shuttle prices are listed on our booking site and are per person roundtrip. Unlike hotels, full prepayment is required. Shuttle must be booked separately from your hotel reservation. You can book now here!
Q: What if it rains?
A: We’ll still leave the hotel at the scheduled departure time under the assumption that racing will take place as soon as the big guy upstairs gets the message he needs to hold up the rain. You are welcome to wait on the bus to take shelter. If the race is called at some point your race tickets are good the day the race resumes, but unfortunately we won’t run the buses for that race day (since many folks have to go back home to work). You’ll still have had a heck of a day at Talladega. Just to show you we want you back rain or shine we’ll give you a $5 coupon on your next Talladega Shuttle.
Q: What if I miss the bus departing?
A: Please don’t! We only leave each location one time so if you miss the bus transportation (and refunds) cannot be provided.
Q: Can I get a ride back from the track if I get a ride out with friends?
A: Only if you can find the bus. Seriously, if you really want to give that a try we’ll do our best to help you hook up with the driver at the track via cell phone, but it is way better to ride both ways since you are paying for it anyway right?
Q: Can I leave things we buy at the track on the bus?
A: You are welcome to ask the driver to lock everything under the bus but we can't be responsible for the items.
Q: I have a wheelchair and/or require assistance.
A: We can help! We've got partners with lift-equipped busses. Since availability is limited on those we do ask that you contact us via email or phone at least 60 days prior to the race. Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We'll make sure you are taken good care of!
